Having beautiful skin begins with knowing your skin type and choosing the best skin care products that caters to your specific needs. Determining your skin type is an important first step in choosing the products that will provide the best results.
A quick and easy way to test your skin type, is to wash your face with a gentle cleanser and then wait a few minutes to see how your skin behaves.
If your skin quickly starts showing oil (looks shiny or greasy), you have oily skin.
If your skin starts to feel tight and dry, you have dry skin.
If your T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) starts looking oily but your cheeks start feeling slightly to moderately dry, you have combination skin.
Combination skin means you have oily skin in some areas of your face and dry skin in others. Typically, most people with combination skin will experience oily skin in the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) and dry skin over their cheeks.
If you have combination skin, you’ll have to divide and conquer by caring for different parts of your face differently. Make sure to apply Liveau’s Moisturizing Day and Night Cream to the areas prone to being oily and the Hydrating Day Cream and Nourishing Night Cream to the dry areas. Be careful to dab them on precisely where needed rather than massaging them all over, where you risk mixing them with the ingredients needed to improve specific areas.
Normal skin has very good balance — not too dry or too oily. Normal skin means you have no apparent skin concerns to address.
Even though you don’t have any specific skin concern, it is still important to care for your normal skin since you would still be exposed to damaging environmental factors such as pollution and the sun. Therefore, make sure to treat your skin with Liveau’s antioxidant rich moisturizers after cleansing with either the gel- or cream cleanser. You can use the table below as a guide:
